The Philosophy

The values promoted by the members of the Groupe MAMAN are based on the recognition of pregnancy and birth as natural processes and, above all, as experiences that belong to women and their families.
When a woman is in charge of her own labour and birth, supported and encouraged rather than controlled, she discovers abilities and an unknown power in herself that give her the best initiation into her role as a mother.
Giving birth is a determining experience; an opportunity for growth, an expression of the power of women, an act of creation and welcoming of life.
The natural follow up to birth is the physical link that occurs in the intimate relation of breastfeeding. Much more than simply a way of feeding, breast feeding promotes affection and offers security, warmth and ...a healthy dose of love!
